Quick View
This wine is gradually improving as the vineyards we have planted with the best burgundian clones since the early 90's start to reach their full potential.
The vintage
In Alsace, the 2007 vintage was full of surprises, but pleasant surprises !
For those who love elegant, pure, well balanced wines, 2007 was a benchmark vintage. Having enjoyed the longest period of maturation for the past 25 years, the grapes were perfectly ripe and healthy.
In the Pflostig, our best Pinot Noir vineyards were harvested at close to 13% potential.

In the vineyard
The heart of this Pinot Noir JUBILEE comes from a vineyard planted in 1966 in our family estate in the Pflostig slope, with an average yield of under 40 hl/ha and potential alcohol of more than 12°.
Winemaking
The grapes are destemmed and macerated for about 2 weeks, with manual immersion of the cap (pigeage) to ensure the best possible extraction. The wine is matured for almost 10 months in small oak barriques, which are partially renewed each year.

Tasting notes by Serge Dubs, World's Best Sommelier 1989
An authentic red Alsace wine, garnet in colour, expressive and aromatic, Burgundy-style, very agreeably Pinot.
A bouquet of fresh soft fruit : bilberry, raspberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant, with woodland hints and a touch of pepper. Very attactive on the palate, it is soft and supple, well-balanced, nicely structured with excellent tannins that give it a light but solid framework. On the finish, we rediscover the aromatic expression of a Pinot Noir from a very fine vineyard terroir.
The wine is already very enjoyable but can be kept another 4 to 5 years.
Serve it cool at 16°C with red or white meat : beef, veal, lamb, poultry.
